Volunteer with York Against Cancer

At York Against Cancer, we would struggle to survive without our volunteers. We rely on people giving up their time to help, getting involved with events from coffee mornings to our annual ball, and especially helping in the shops in Huntington and at York hospital.

We have a fantastic group of people who come along and assist with lots of the day-to-day running of our charity as well as helping with events. We are one big team, all with the same aim in mind, to raise money which will be spent in the local area on providing important cancer services to local people.

Many of our volunteers, unfortunately, have had first-hand experience of cancer, and volunteering at the charity allows them to give something back. Another important reason for volunteering for some people is that they find they have spare time on their hands and want to be kept busy. If you, like them, need a focus, at York Against Cancer we can help with that!

Come along and meet new people. It would be great to have you as part of our team.
