We’re thrilled to announce our charity 5k R U Taking the P? is BACK!
On 22nd June 2025, around 1,000 people will head to Rowntree Park to run 5K their way to raise awareness of prostate cancer and raise vital funds for York Against Cancer. The 5K fun run was established by York hairdresser Brian Hughes, a founder of Knavesmire Harriers, who was inspired to fundraise after a friend lost his life to prostate cancer.
Now back for the first time since 2019, R U Taking the P? is open to anyone who would like to join us to help to raise awareness of prostate cancer, a disease which more than 50,000 people are diagnosed with in the UK every year. The event will also raise funds for York Against Cancer to help us support cancer patients and their loved ones in York, North and East Yorkshire.
