Partner your business with York Against Cancer 2024

As the new year looms on the horizon, we would love to be considered for your business’ Charity of the Year in 2024.
Choosing York Against Cancer as your Charity of the Year generally means any funds you raise at charity events over the course of 2024 will go towards our mission of supporting cancer patients and their loved ones across the region. In return, we’ll provide you with our official logo to include on any of your communications.
By supporting a charity, businesses can fulfil part of their corporate responsibility and even advertise it as an employee benefit, all while raising money for a good cause!
Your donations will go towards services such as our free minibus, which takes cancer patients from their homes in and around York to their radiotherapy appointments in Leeds, or our cancer research funding at the University of York. Similarly, you could help us fund our free respite breaks, granting cancer patients and their loved ones a 3-4 night stay in our seaside home in Filey or our scenic cottage in Yapham.

Our cancer support centre, The Leveson Centre, was brought to life earlier this year partly due to generous donations from local businesses. Thanks to their support, the Centre offers a range of services, such as Pilates classes, complementary therapy sessions, adolescent psychology services and more. Patients and their loved ones can also enjoy community activities, such as our weekly coffee mornings and our Wellbeing Choir!

There are a whole host of ways for businesses to get involved in fundraising for us – perhaps you would like to introduce a Give as you Earn scheme and set up a tax free donation directly from your team’s salary! This would be a great employee benefit and could be discussed across company literature.
Offering your staff paid time to volunteer could also be a fantastic initiative to employ, lending us an extra set of hands to help out in areas such as admin in the office, working in one of our giftshops, helping out at events and more.
